Press Action Refutes Z Magazine

Countering an off-the-mark article in the recent issue of Z Magazine by Chip Berlet on Alan Bock’s essay in Red State Rebels, Press Action explains why Berlet’s critique misleading –  so much so that it appears Chip is writing about a completely different topic altogether.

Pick up a copy of RSR to read what Bock was really talking about — the fed’s ambush at Ruby Ridge, which took the lives of an innocent woman and young child.

The rural Idaho family were loose followers of the Christian Identity Movement and were targeted as a result. While their beliefs were whack-a-doo, the tale of their blatant murders (which were a dress rehearsal for Waco) is one proponents of civil liberty protections and human rights ought to be aware of, left-wing or otherwise.

Bock closes out his essay by writing:

“…people can have odd ideas, even abhorrent and disturbing ideas, and still live peacefully with their neighbors. It’s best we let them.”

Ol’ Chip may not agree with Bock’s bold statement, but we sure as hell do.
